This is Going to Be Interesting!

I’m on my laptop yay!  I haven’t had a laptop in almost ten years, so please bear with the typos until I get handle on the keyboard being so small again!

100_0001So it’s been BEAUTIFULLY hot out.  The plants have been loving it!  Not so much me, but over night the temperature went down to zero again!  We’re all supposed to put out our plants on May 24 weekend, but I’m a little worried about doing that.  Especially with my veggies.  We’ll have to wait and see how the weather is!  Another gardening problem… I love starting plants from seed… and I intended to finally use my little green house to put my start up plants in, until they’re ready for a big pot, or to put in the ground, freeing up more window sill space.  Unfortunately, it is STILL getting knocked over by the wind!  There’s no bottom to it for me to put something heavy either, so it makes me a little leery about using it at all.

100_0002Today is Monday, and I should be going swimming, but it’s not going to happen this week, or next.  I took today to do my Spring cleaning room, which was the living room, and I’m so tired out from it I think I’ll need a nap before I start dinner!  Next Sunday will be the scope prep day and Monday the scope, so I highly doubt I’ll be able to go swimming lol.

Yesterday was Mother’s Day.  Mom picked me up around noon, and we went to a flower shop and she made a cute bouquet of flowers for my Grams.  I got her  book by J. R. Martinez that she wanted.  He is a young war veteran who’s vehicle blew up from a land mine they hit and burnt 95% of his body.  He went on to be a spokesperson for wounded veterans, acted on a soap, and won Dancing With the Stars.  We went up to get Nick for a bit so he could see his dad, and Amanda gave her their gifts from them.  I didn’t stay for dinner bc mom was taking Grandma out to eat :)

100_0004On Friday, Carrie, Grams and I, went with Amanda and Nick to see him do his swimming lessons.  OMG  it’s crazy watching him in the deep end, but he looks so happy!  He’s adorable to watch.

This week, I have the dentist on Wednesday to get that filling re put in, and other than possibly seeing my counselor, and having Lilian my PSW come, I don’t think there is anything else.  I will write next week after my scope to let you all know the results.

Take Care.

Ash,

PS  I haven’t had to use pain medicine in 4 days!  Wahoo!

Baby Baby Baby!

577586_10152798130325527_166427680_nMom and I had a great time at my oldest niece, Jess’ 2nd baby shower.. that we went to anyway lol.  We got lost on the way out there mind you, trying to find the house… we were looking for the wrong house number!  It was great to see her again before the baby is born :)   I just love my nieces and nephews to bunches, and I don’t get to see my brother’s kids often enough!

So now lets rewind back to Saturday!  Mom, Grams, Amanda and I spent the day together :)   We went to Giant Tiger where I changed into my new $7 tank top in the car flashing a bunch of people almost, then we went to The Brick where Grams got a new couch… I think the one I have, but in chocolate brown… why she bought it none of us know, but oh well lol.  Then we went to the garden center at Home Depot… I think it was there.

We went to East Side Marios for dinner.  *DROOL FEST*  I got a chicken fettuccine with garlic bread and a Cesar salad.  There were so many yummy looking things with spaghetti sauce, but the Gallbladder said no… mind you it wound up saying no to the fettuccine too, but my meal was deliciouso none the less!

We headed out to Walmart, and Amanda, mom and I all got plants.  Mom got a pretty yellow rose bush, and a cool dark, deep red Lily bush.  Amanda got three mini palms for her apartment deck for some privacy, and I got a purple sand cherry bush :)

So back to the day of the shower… I won another gift playing Bingo and one a flowery scented room defuser which is now on my book shelf.  I also one the game where everyone has a laundry pin, and you steal any person’s pin that says, “baby.”  But I gave that away since I already had a prize.  I also got to see Stacey my wonderful sistah in law.. well no more in law, but still my sis!!!

may5 006On the way home mom and I stopped at a chip truck for lunch, and she took me to my pharmacist at Independent Grocers, and I got my scope prep and these Tylenol 1′s.  They have a bit of codeine but not like the T3′s do, so you can get them over the counter.  Sadly this morning at 3 am I had to try them, and they really don’t work well, but it’s better than nothing!  And there, they also had a little garden center where I got a white Hydrangea :)

I got home and dug the Hostas out that had been here since before I was moved in, and threw them in the back yard, so that is where the purple sand cherry goes.  And Nicole, who I always talk about on here is giving me a pretty pink flowering shrub, that will go under the stairs (the non growing tulip garden) with the Hydrangea to fill the area up!

Today I was feeling terrible from not being able to go back to bed after getting up at 3am (about to crash any minute now and it’s only 8pm! lol) but I pushed myself to go to my mom’s and I went swimming with her this evening before dinner while she had her aqua therapy class.

may6Sadly enough for my weak dumb body… I pulled a muscle in my shoulder, arm and back playing bowling on my Wii LOL.  So I didn’t think I’d be able to swim, but thankfully I was, and it helped ease the tightness from it :)   I went in the therapy pool for ten minutes where mom’s class was too to sit with the jets and relax.

Tomorrow mom has to come by and get her new computer that she bought off the girl upstairs, and I will get the laptop :)   Excited more to watch movies and hopefully be able to do Skype :)   And there were other things too, but my brain hasn’t remembered any of that yet!

Mom got my a yummy sugar cookie scented candle and it is burning right now.  I love it :)

I also got my Gram’s birthday present in today.  My mom’s Mother’s Day gift still hasn’t shipped out yet, so I’m worried I won’t get it in time!!!  Here’s crossing my fingers!

I also have to go put part of the down payment on my washer and dryer this week, see my counselor, have my psw Lilian over, and have her boss over to do some yearly review thing.  Plus a filling fell out of a tooth in the back, so I’m hoping after Lilian leaves Thursday, I can get into the  dentist!

Hope you’re all doing well!

Ash,

PS Starting a page of plants.  Stealing this idea from Nicole, but not going to go anywhere near in depth as she did as to how they’re taken care of, zones, etc.  I don’t think I even really know what all the damn names are let alone anything else about them! Hehe.

Beauty

apr28 002On Sunday, I went to my oldest niece Jessica’s baby shower… I’m going to another one for her this Sunday too.  It was cute to see her open all her gifts and see her again before the baby is born!  I had gotten her some wet naps, a gyro bowl, the blanket I knitted for her, some onesies, teething toys, sippy cups, bibs, etc.  and split on a play pen with my fam. I also won in a draw with one of the game a lucky bamboo plant!

I got my bedroom done for the Spring cleaning, and threw out my fern that I killed… whoops!  And also tossed my forced tulips, which never grew inside or out!  I have now added more starting seeds to the mix, so I will take pictures when they get bigger.  I also moved my mini green house outside on the back deck, but it kept tipping over bc of the wind I guess, so I moved it today.  I’m HOPING it will be okay now, so I don’t dump my flowers in there after May 24 weekend!

apr28 001Today while talking to my bud Nicole, and then after when my social service worker came, I did all the weeding.  Normally I put it in a bucket and dump it along the fence line out back, but I forgot it, so there’s crap all over the walk way, yard and driveway lol.  Oh well!

My landlord has been over the last two days working on fixing the light in my front room.  He had his electrician friend over today and they finally got it all fixed up.

My Crohn’s disease is doing terrible… to put it lightly!  I am fighting through every day just to get things done.  Today was a good day, hence why I got all that done, but usually I’ve been lucky to get in the shower!

apr28 003Yesterday I was able to finally get my Calcium and Vit D 3 med.s for my Crohn’s.  It’s something the G I’s want crohn’s patients to be on now bc it helps fight against bowel cancer.  Which is just not what I want to spend my money on, but I finally did it dammit lol.

Tomorrow I am doing my laundry.  I put my first payment on the washer and dryer next week, and then they will deliver it for me next month once the down payment is paid in full then.  So HOPEFULLY this will be the last time I have to go OUT to do my laundry!  Yay!

My neighbor upstairs is moving :(   and she is moving out West, so she was selling a bunch of her stuff so she didn’t have to take it with her.  My mom is getting her brand new computer, and she’ll let my Grams use hers since she can’t see on her laptop too well… Guess who’s getting the laptop!  Wahoo!

mar28 021Alright enough is enough.  Just waiting for the delivery guy to come with my med.s

Ash,

NEEEED Flowers NOW!

apr23 002After talking to Nicole today and her showing me pictures of all her garden beds, etc. I am even MORE pumped for my flowers!  Enough of this snow, rain, snow, freezing rain… I want SUN!

I did take a few pictures this evening… and only a few before my camera battery died again lol.  I will have to look into replacing it.  Speaking of tech issues… my Kobo which is just a little over a year old I think has been causing me problems too.  I did a factory reset and so far so good, but it’s too new to be causing issues already!

I missed The Healthy Living Expo.  Boo to Crohn’s disease and Gallstones.  Not a huge deal, but I was really excited about going and seeing a gardener speaker from CBC radio.

apr23 001I was also to go to the YMCA with my Personal Support Worker, and had to cancel that as well!  There will be other times this Summer for that though.  I was finally able to go swimming after two weeks though last night!  It felt great, and man was I sore earlier today hehe.

I am out of books to read, so I borrowed the new Dr. Phil book… can’t remember what it’s called.  Not a huge fan of his, but I respect the guy, so I figure I can at least get through it lol.

apr23 003Been having my Zeus out lots lately the last few days :)   He loves it outside!  Drives me nuts after a while though… lol

This weekend is my oldest niece, Jess’ baby shower.  I’m so excited to go and see her and more family there.  I will have to bring my camera… for the few pictures I can hopefully get!

mini tomatoes on the left... and carnations on the right

mini tomatoes on the left… and carnations on the right

I’ve got no more appointments until later next month for my colonscopy.  As much as I am dreading it, I am looking forward to getting it done and over with so we can come up with a plan.  I am almost through my Tylenol 3‘s and I don’t want to have to ask for any more.  I don’t take them every day, but when I do I take 2 at a time usually so 30 doesn’t last long.  Especially when as of the last few weeks, I’ve been having attacks almost every day!

Just wanted to check in even though nothing exciting is happening right now.  Will try to write again next week.

Take Care!

Ash,

My Hair!

apr14 001Well I am going to attempt to write today bc I want to keep up with this thing, but I warn you all ahead of time it may not make sense at all.  I’m having a really rough day today.

Last Wed.  I went with Amanda, Carrie and Steffi to see Evil Dead.  Amanda fell asleep part way through it lol.  It wasn’t scary to me, but it was so damn gory!  It wouldn’t have bothered me at home, but on a movie theater screen it’s all in your face up close and personal.  Me and Carrie were smooshed back in our seats making sarcastic comments in between freaking out loud about how gross it would get.  Overall… good movie!  Kept you wanting to watch it to see what was going to happen… unless you were my sister lol.  I wouldn’t say it was scary, but it might be to some if you don’t watch a lot of horror movies.  We had a lot of fun regardless :)   The first part of the movie we spent filling our faces with food, and the other parts wishing we hadn’t ate so much lol.

I made Carrie some of my homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies bc she cut my hair for me :)   It has a bunch of choppy layers starting just below my shoulders to my chin.  Steffi straightened my hair for me and it looks really good and nice to not have so much hair to deal with!  Washing and brushing it now is a breeze.  It’s crazy fluffy though when I don’t do anything to it, and it curls like crazy when I wash it and leave it alone.  I think I’ll have to start actually doing something to my hair on days I go out, but it’ll still take less time than the brushing alone would have before!

So I keep getting woken up around 3-4am to this horrible gut rot feeling.  Like you get drinking pop or coffee on an empty stomach… hence why I don’t drink pop anymore.  Bananas weirdly do this to me too lol.  ANYWAYS… the pain gets so bad I get up take my stomach medicine for it, and then within an hour the pain is so bad I take a Tylenol 3.  And by around 5am I am usually able to go back to sleep.  So I decided last night to use my stupid bed wedge to prop myself up in bed and I slept right through the night!  I actually slept right through until 3pm lol.  By then I was scooched right down to the bottom and sleeping on my bed again (I must hate it in my sleep too lol)  I was so exhausted from not sleeping right, that I must have needed the extra, but it has kicked my ASS today!

apr14 002Zeus has been having a rough first half of the day too.. or errr afternoon and was having troubles going to the washroom poor guy bc he won’t leave me sick in my bed alone!  What a dear!  So when I finally got up and was so dizzy I was trying not to pass out, and get my medicine into me, Zeus was screaming and running back and forth to the bathroom.  Since I ate I feel a bit better weakness wise, but there is no way anything will get accomplished unless it involves me sitting down the entire time lol.  I’m so damn dizzy and my Crohn’s Disease is wracking havoc on me since I haven’t taken the Tylenol 3′s, and all I want to do is pass out on the floor every time I get up.  YAY!

Tomorrow is Miss Carrey’s birthday, and I want to go swimming with my mom earlier when she goes to her therapy class, but if I feel anything like I do right now, there is NO WAY that is going to happen.

Wed. after my PSW Lilian is done here, her and I are going to go up to the YMCA if I’m well enough, and exercise for a bit.  I really want to go, and she can get me in on a free pass for being her guest, so it should be good.

I also need to contact my family doctor and hope I can sneak a couple requests through her secretary who is scary, without having to make and wait for another appointment with her.

My normal exercising is crashing huge.  I’m finding it very difficult to do a lot of them with me in so much pain and being so weak, but I am trying to at least keep up with swimming and doing The Melt Method since it actually helps ease the pain and doesn’t take a lot of actual effort to do.

We had a crazy icy storm the other day, and tomorrow it’s supposed to be as high as 17!!!  I really hope it’s going to be more Spring like from now on… I totally just jinxed myself lol.  Going to go read The Perks Of Being A WallflowerWhat the Hell is a wallflower anyway?

Want to go to the Healthy Living Expo this weekend too!  So excited to see some of the speakers!  So you obviously can see why some of you have not been answered on the comments end bc I’m not exactly in my right mind to be answering anything LOL.  Soon though!

Ash,

Spring? Is That You?

Zeus helping me pack.

Zeus helping me pack.

I’m seriously needing to garden.  Last year at this time, I had all my weeding and mulching done and was ready to go… this year there’s still snow in the forecast!  I just want it to be not so bloody bitter cold out!

I went to Amanda’s and Nick’s last Monday for the night.  We had yummy wraps and danced to all the Just Dance Wii games we had for four hours straight with Carrie and Emily!  It was a lot of fun though.  Then we ordered pizza and watched some tv and I fell asleep with Sookie on the couch.  She’s a good dog to snuggle with :)

100_1533I went to my new GI here in Belleville on Friday morning.  He thinks that maybe it’s my Crohn’s Disease acting up my Gallstones.  He wants to do a colons copy on me in May to determine how my body is taking to being sick while being on my Crohn’s med.s which normally isn’t the case when I get sick.  If I am having a relapse… then it is onto a new course of med.s for me to try since I will be done with the class I am on now.  The only worry with that, is the horrible things that can happen… and have happened to my sister when she was on them.  But I am waiting to see how things pan out first before I worry about any of that.  The Gallstones will be dealt with after.  If they are still causing the pain, since they are very common with Crohn’s patients and with my medicine, then the whole thing will be removed… which I would prefer.  He even gave me a prescription for Prednisone for in case I go into full blown Crohn’s relapse, then I won’t have to probably go to a hospital.  I like him a lot.

100_1549I was at mom’s the rest of the day doing laundry.  Nick came by later and was playing The Walking Dead game on his Ipad, and I had a dream last night I was in college being chased with my friends by a bunch of zombies lol.

When I got home last night, Susan my Social Service Worker’s student Alyssa had dropped me off a book about Jaycee Dugard.  The girl who was kidnapped for years.  It’s really good so far, but very sad too.  As well as a whack load of stuff from Susan.  Nail polishes, creams, sandals, shower puffs, emery boards, etc. as well as a big nail buffing machine which also dries you nails, etc.  So excited to try it!

100_1558Today I was able to get six bags of the red cedar mulch and two bags of potting soil.  It’s all stacked in the front room.  Once it stops showing snow on the weather forecast, I’ll get out there and slowly start redoing the garden beds with it.  I took my deck furniture out today.

Going to have dinner now that it’s ready and watch the rest of the new remake of Total Recall.

Have a great weekend!

Ash,

The Gardening Itch

mar28 020I am through with growing Parsley.  I know there’s all these great things about adding it to your food, etc. but I just don’t use it!  It’s more of a pain to me than anything else, so I checked the whole lot of it into the trash today lol.  I moved my six little tomato plants that lived through the growing out of the original 12, into a smaller little container, and started planting Geraniums in the window sill.  It said on the pack they needed to be started early, so I figure starting them first out of the others is a good idea.

mar28 016I went with Amanda and Carrie to the Dollar Store and got lots of goodies.  I got a card and bag and some extra stuff to put in my nieces Baby Shower gift, I got Zeus a new little toy, which other than him flailing himself at it then going to bed… I’d say it’s not going to be a winner, I got some garden pots, and a cute little Easter wreath I just through on the one door knob for now.

mar28 018Afterwards, we went to the mall and I got my foam roller for doing The Melt Method with.  I’m excited to try it :)

Then while mom was at the dentist, Grams and I got cat food and went grocery shopping at No Frills, which was an absolute mad house!  The line ups weren’t bad, but the rest was awful.

mar28 022I went to my doctors yesterday to fill out the gas form for disability, and she had the results from the GI from my ultrasound.  Nicole already knows bc I emailed her last night about it from mom’s, but I have Gallstones!  It seems kind of funny and makes me want to giggle bc it seems like something I should never have had to worry about with all the other crap I already have going on.  So I talked to my sis last night on the phone and made her talk to me while I watched a YouTube video of the surgery so I could see what it was like, and even though it was absolutely disgusting, and no organ should look like a Gallbladder does… I feel actually a lot better about getting an operation done if that ends up being the case.  The only thing that makes me nervous about it, is just the unknown bc I’ve never had a surgery, but I’m not worried about the pain, etc.  It’ll be a pain having to limit what I can do for a bit, but that’s not anything I can’t figure out.  I go see the new GI in Belleville next week sometime so hopefully he’ll have an idea and go on from there to find out what’s going to be done about it.

mar28 007This weekend is going to be fun :)   I can’t wait to see my nieces and nephews.  I love them to bunches!

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter too!

Ash,

Almost Easter!

helping ...hmmm

helping …hmmm

It is so gorgeous out today!  My tulips are now on the sill waiting to see them sprout!  I should have put them in the cold earlier obviously, but oh well, better late than never!

I am hoping to get the pelt ready this weekend, by lining the back and bottom of it with garbage bags stapled in place, and then have the dirt put in, so as each group of flowers grow, I can just move them on over to their place in the pelt.

I am also hoping to get some red wood chips.. about six big bags, and the dirt for the veggies.  My mom got me a nice deep pot to put the tomatoes in.  They are nearly ready to want out now, so they need to slow down!!!  The peppers are growing at a perfect rate for May 24 weekend.

Not doing anything wrong.. stop watching me

Not doing anything wrong.. stop watching me

This weekend is Easter… which seems weird, bc the weekend starts in March.  We are going out to my dad and Lois’ on the Saturday to see my other nephew and two nieces, then on Sunday, we will be going over to my mom’s for dinner there.

This Monday, I am going over to my sister’s place for the night, to have a girls hangout with her and Carrie her neighbor.  Then on Wed., I will be going to see my family doctor.  I am getting her to fill out some forms for disability, that will reimburse me for the gas my mom or Grams uses to get me to appointments.  Will be nice to help out more with that.

but I'm the baby!

but I’m the baby!

Mom and I went swimming last night.  I went into the main pool which literally was empty for a while.  All the kids were in the therapeutic pool.  My mom came over to where I was, bc it was too crazy busy in there, and no where for her to sit and relax.  Once some of the people left, and came over to the regular pool, I went back over with her to use the jets.  Very nice and relaxing!

Today I am working on finishing up the baby blanket, and doing my Spring Cleaning, in the hallway.  Isn’t a lot to do there, but wash the walls, base boards, and take all the family/friend pictures off and cleaning them all down too.  I am doing one room a week.  Next week, it will be the sewing room.  Not a big room, but a lot of crap in there to clean, and move around.

Puffy wrists. I need two of these.

Puffy wrists. I need two of these.

Just finished reading The Melt Method.  She was on Dr. Oz, using movements (not exercises) on a roller and soft hand sized ball to stimulate and regulate the Autonomic Nervous System.. which interested me, since that is where my health problems primarily lie.  So I am going to try doing some of these exercises since it is also supposed to help with chronic pain, and sleeping, etc.  I will still do my dancing, swimming, yoga or whatever else I enjoy work out wise, but I’m going to incorporate hers, three times a week.  You can find her book titled, The Melt Method.  It’s so interesting!

Okay, since I killed my back cleaning, I am going to rest for a while.

Take Care

Ash,

PS Did you guys/ gals turn your lights out last night?  I read by candle light from 8:30-9:30pm.

What is Mother Nature Up To???

tumblr_m9in0kWW501rd90b3o1_250It went from a nice 10 degrees to -17 over night it feels like.  I love Winter, but I hate when the weather flip flops so drastically… and bc it has… I now have another cold!  WTF???  I honestly am not sure now how many times I have gotten sick this season alone, bc it’s been so many times.  I think around five or six… that’s insane, even for my crappy immune system!

So mom, Grams, and I went swimming at the Bulls arena or Wally Denver Arena, in their new complex out back.  It has a little kid pool… apparently you can’t go in without a kid.. booo lol.  And a main pool, and a hot tub/ therapy pool.  There was a class in the therapy pool, so we swam lots in the regular pool, then spent the last half hour in the other.  It was nice, but at first I thought there would be no way with my Dysautonomia that I’d be able to handle the heat.. I can’t even take baths!  The water did get better, though it would be impossible to swim in.  I prefer the regular pool :)

mar13 003Yesterday, they took my to the Hotel Dieu and I got my stomach ultrasound done.  It was really quick.  We were leaving the parking lot two minutes before my appointment was to begin!  So they are fast hehe.  At first, the technician couldn’t find my Gallbladder… she asked if I had it removed, of course I said no, that, that is the area the GI’s think may be causing all the pain, so she had to have me all twisted to find it, then double check with the doctor that the images she could get would be good.  I’m calling my GI’s in a week bc she said that’s how long it takes to get the results back.

mar13 005Then we ate at the Jiffy Grill, and I had a gross wrap which I ate for dinner too with soup.  Lol, but still I like the restaurant.  And we got home making great timing!

I woke up before 3am this morning sick than a dog.  I don’t know why, but my stomach was NOT happy with me.  I just relaxed and sipped water until 6am and then fell back asleep until after 10am.

Yesterday before we left, Pat my sub Personal Support Worker came and we caught up on everything.  She always does such a nice just when she’s here too.

Pauper Cards I ordered back around Christmas just came in!

Pauper Cards I ordered back around Christmas just came in!

Now I have a couple loads of sheets I have to go wash, and hope I can get that done before my cold becomes full blown.  My dad and Lois want us to come to their place in a couple weeks for Easter, so hopefully I’ll be back to normal by then to go :)

Next week the forced growing tulips come out of the cold dark to a nice sunny windowsill, and I am going to my family doctor to fill out some disability forms for me.

Take Care!

Ash,

A Little Late Not Paying Attention

The last post was written quite a while ago, but I must have no thought to hit publish, so when I went to write an entry, I realized it was missing lol.

mar8I finished my second rug hooking project.  The first was a dog, this one a cat.  There were other kits at Michaels I liked a lot more, but was not willing to pay the money for them.  It’s also impossible to find rug hook canvas around here!  You have to get the whole kit if you want to do one.  Zeus was constantly laying on this one even trying to get on it while I was working on it!

This week went well.  My poor Personal Support Worker Lilian, got a cut in her hand, then went swimming at a hotel pool, and it got badly infected and ballooned twice the size.  So she couldn’t make it out this week.  Next week I’ll have Pat who usually takes over the off shift Lilian misses.  I really like her.  She’ll be done literally as I’m running out the door for my Crohn’s Disease tests in Kingston.  My mom was bugging me last night about being cranky like her when I’m hungry.  So this should be interesting with no food or water! Blah!

I have started the baby blanket.  I put on over 100 stitches last night, then realized I didn’t have the right amount for the pattern, so I had to rip it all out… then I did it again, this time with too many stitches for the pattern… third time’s a charm, and I finally got the damn thing going now! Lol.  I think it’ll look cute, if I can ever finish it!

August sleeping on the back of the chair with her little bum in the air!

August sleeping on the back of the chair with her little bum in the air!

Was out cleaning up garbage out of the yard this evening (my garbage got torn apart weeks ago during that big snow storm, and I’ve been going out and collecting more and more of it as the snow melts)  and I noticed my Snow in the Summer is still going strong, the Astra is starting to pop its leaves, and some of the bulbs I planted in the Fall are starting to sprout up.  I also saw a ton of areas where the damn squirrels were digging them up too!  *shakes fist*  That was with a ton of garlic too.

I’m really happy with how ALL of my outdoor garden areas look.  Except for adding some more red wood chips, there is not a thing I would change!  Nicole, my bud, is giving me some clippings to put under the stairs to fill that little space up (yay :) )  So now I want to work on my indoor garden.  I have four great windows for planting, also Zeus loving too, so I technically only have two that he doesn’t go in and dump the plants off to make room for his dieting body lol.  So looking at Nicole’s pic.s, I love her window garden, with the different shelves in the window so there’s tons of space to put more flowers to grow!  Which would be great over the winter time as well.  Right now, I’m stuck doing my veggies first, then beginning in sections, the flowers for my pallet project.  So Nicole, expect lots of questions on how you did that! hehe.

Zeus is still exercising!

Zeus is still exercising!

I am reading the book that was shown on Dr. Oz, Salt Sugar Fat.  It basically is a history book for the food market, and how food/drink companies use different methods to make us the consumers, become addicted to their product of food, and how unhealthy these foods truly are.  It’s really interesting, but very text book like, so it’s taking me longer than usual to read it.

I’m also started on a new show.  Lost… obviously it’s done and over with, so not new, except to me.  My aunt has always loved it, and then my sister and Nick too fell in love with the show, so I finally decided to give it a shot.  So far I’m liking it a lot!

I had an awesome visit with Amy, my Social Service Worker’s prior student, who came to help me work on my Portfolio class.  I know feel like I can confidentially for forward, and have some ideas on what to add a personal touch with, and what exactly they’re looking for course wise.  When I get paid next, I have some supplies to get for it, and then I can get on with putting it all together :)   All my major papers for the class are finished.  Now I have to add the rest to it, which is mostly personal details.

Started to watch the mini series The Bible on the History Channel.  I am not a religious person, and to be honest, would fall asleep… literally every time I tried to read the bible.  It was too confusing to me, and made me lose interest too quickly.  So what I like about this show, it is going in sequence and showing in literal terms what the stories in the bible display.  It’s interesting and making a lot of sense out of stories I had heard bits and pieces of before.

Tomorrow I am heading over to check out the washer dryer sets finally, since I was too sick from over doing the exercising when I was supposed to go last time, and then go to mom’s for dinner, and possibly a swim.

Take Care!

Ash,
